“Several years ago, I was wearing hearing aids issued by an Army Hospital; but they were analog hearing aids and obsolete. In the office of an MD Specialist in Ear Nose and Throat disease , in Concord, I found Audiologist Lorin Oden. I purchased the digital aids she recommended and was well satisfied. Recently, however, those aids became obsolescent because of advancements in hearing aid technology. I was issued State-of-the- Art Hearing Aids by the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Salisbury. Unfortunately, the hook of the Right Aid became damaged and VA had no local back-up for repair. Turn-around time through their channels was estimated to be one to two months. I learned that Dr Lorin Oden now had an Audiology Clinic in Salisbury. I succumb to “Try-one-more time” after 2 or 3 times of “30 days or less trials” during the past few years of gradual need for replying “would you repeat that a little louder” or “would you spell that for me” or thinking “did I need to hear which I thought they said?”

I first visited Hearing Lifestyles (Dr. Lorin Oden) in early March, 2012. I was having a lot of difficulty with hearing words beginning with certain letters, and also hearing conversations, where background noise is involved.
I was given an extensive hearing evaluation, including test, ears examined, questions asked and recommendation given for what I needed.
Medicare paid for that initial evaluation, because Dr. Oden is a qualified Medicare provider.
The hearing instruments I did purchase, of course were at my own expense.
I received my instruments around March 7th. Much advice and instruction was gives as to care of, and received supplies to be used, batteries, dry & store box for nighttime, etc.I had follow-up for 90 days to be certain soft wear was programmed as should be and to answer any concerns I had. I will also have future follow up.

I just want you (and your Readers) to know how excited I am with my new hearing aids and the awesome technology they bring. Also, I am now able to hear much better in a large crowd atmosphere. In addition, my wife says I no longer yell in the house and the TV is set on a much lower setting than before.
